Jacob Dayringer (“Jake from State Farm” as the campers know him) has been an avid supporter of Camp Greenwood since 2012. He was first introduced to Camp Greenwood after graduating from Alma College where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science in 2011. After graduation, he stayed in touch with a friend he made there. This friend introduced him to Camp Greenwood. It was this relationship and a call from God that lead him to work as a Summer Camp Counselor in 2012 where he fell in love with Camp Greenwood.
He continued working as a Program Director in 2013 and 2014. His service continued with the Agency in 2015 and was followed by the creation of the non-profit Greenwood Ministries Association with the help of others. Greenwood Ministries is the organization that is now tasked with running the Summer Camp at Camp Greenwood.
Jacob brings great leadership skills and experience to Camp Greenwood. He has worked as a Senior Resident Assistant at Alma College as well as his many roles with Camp Greenwood. He has a huge heart for Camp Greenwood and wants everyone to feel the Greenwood Spirit and God’s Love.
