Jacob Dayringer (“Jake from State Farm” as the campers know him) has been an avid supporter of Camp Greenwood since 2012. He was first introduced to Camp Greenwood after graduating from Alma College where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2011. After graduation, he stayed in touch with a friend he made there. This friend introduced him to Camp Greenwood. It was this relationship and a call from God that lead him to work as a Summer Camp Counselor in 2012 where he fell in love with Camp Greenwood.

He continued working as a Program Director in 2013 and 2014. His service continued with the Agency in 2015 and was followed by the creation of the non-profit Greenwood Ministries Association with the help of others. Greenwood Ministries is the organization that is now tasked with running the Summer Camp at Camp Greenwood.

Jacob brings great leadership skills and experience to Camp Greenwood. He has worked as a Senior Resident Assistant at Alma College as well as his many roles with Camp Greenwood. He has a huge heart for Camp Greenwood and wants everyone to feel the Greenwood Spirit and God’s Love.

Krista grew up attending her local Presbyterian Church which initially brought her to Camp Greenwood.  She has always had a love for the outdoors, spending many family vacations camping, hiking, learning and exploring.  In high school she discovered a passion for birds, especially raptors, and took that interest to college where she worked on three different research projects in the biology department.  Krista graduated from Alma College in 2018 with a degree in Biology and began seasonal work as a hawk counter for organizations in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Michigan.

Krista has a long history with Camp Greenwood, having attended as a camper every year from kindergarten through high school.  Starting in 2018, she came back to Greenwood as a camp counselor and progressed to Program Director.  She spent one year on the Greenwood Ministries Association Board in 2020 before accepting the position of Assistant Camp Director at the beginning of 2022.  Krista was an integral part of the Capital Campaign to purchase the Camp Greenwood property and looks forward to growing with the camp as it moves into a new phase of ministry.
